fashion industry design software Fashion Designers Alliance (FADAL) Manila Iidentity by Design For Tomorrow

April 2009 saw the establishment of the Fashion Designers Alliance (FADAL) with a mission to provide an industry platform to seek and promote new talent. DFT was commissioned a year prior to the official institution of the collective to develop the brand which included naming, identity design, launch collaterals and general brand strategy. The logomark takes inspiration from the basic fashion designer tool, the sewing pin. The basic shape is then rotated into a corolla or "council" of bigger pins (senior designers) complementing a smaller set of pins (novitiates, entry-level members) symbolizing mentorship, unity and camaraderie. A proper brand system and architecture is developed to manage potential and future brand extensions with clarity and consistency. There is no fix palette as the brief stated that the logo should be dynamic and flexible to adapt to new trends and yearly color forecasts.
